the game
Batman and Robin are at it again! This time they have inexplicably stranded themselves at the bottom of a prison well, though we don’t have any idea how they got there. Using only their ninja rock-climbing abilities, crazy hops and coordinated teamwork, they must find their way out of the well before time runs out!
This training simulation features a two-stage interactive experience for players; not only do the players have to traverse the sides of the well on their own, but they also get to test their teamwork abilities by assisting each other in escaping the well making this game a solo and cooperative experience for two. Timing is everything! (Having mad hops like Evan Schneider definitely helps though)
The first stage of this game consists of two players climbing up the well s rocks, and is emulated by the rock switches on the outer panel. The game starts once both players have confirmed their presence at the bottom of the well i.e. by stepping on the triangular platform with built in weight-sensors, and providing their special BATT ID key. Once the simulation initiates, both players will have to climb up a series of rocks, which will be indicated by an led lighting up next to the rock switch to be triggered; this is done randomly across the four rocks. They have small incremental times in which to hit each rock switch, so fast reflexes and good timing will greatly increase the player’s chance of success.
After the rock switches have been hit a certain number of times, the simulation enters coop mode. Here, Batman will have to jump when told to by the lit-up sign, and while Batman is still in the “air” (indicated by a timer), Robin will have to provide Batman a boost with a pushing-up motion near the boot. Then Robin jumps and Batman, now out of the well, provides a boost to Robin with a hand-grabbing motion to the plastic hand. The game then ends, with success being indicated by all the led’s lighting up and the Batman and Robin figurines being pulled out the top of the well.
